DOT proposes replacing two bridges at Grand Junction

AMES – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Feb. 20, to discuss two proposed U.S. 30 bridge replacements in on the east side of Grand Junction; one over West Beaver Creek and the other over the Union Pacific railroad track/222nd Street.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 pm at the East Greene elementary school cafeteria, 405 12th St. S., in Grand Junction. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.

Traffic would be detoured during construction using Iowa 144, Greene/Boone County Road E-26, and U.S. 169. (For more information, see the website listed below.)
